Description of CNC Flame Cutting

Flame cutting steel profiles uses a combination of gases (usually oxygen and propane) to create a controlled flame that heats the metal to its melting point and blows away the molten oxidation slag, creating a groove in the metal. Flame cutting is possible for thicknesses over 400mm.

CNC oxyfuel cutting uses multiple torches, which means the process is ideal for high-volume production runs of steel profiles that require repeatable accuracy.
Flame cutting is oxygen cutting in which the appropriate part of the material to be cut is raised to ignition temperature by an oxy-fuel gas flame. Also known as oxy-fuel cutting, the process is used for separating and shaping steel components.
